Willow charcoal drawing
26 x 57 cm (10.25” x 22.5”)
In the Musée Art & Histoire, Bruxelles, I came upon fragments of a 12c baptismal font which features five figures each standing between the columns of a series of Romanesque arches. Apparition is my response to the font.
The drawing was made largely with the side of sticks of willow charcoal and the paper used is mid-weight (250 gsm) Somerset Satin. I have signed and titled the drawing on the reverse side of the sheet.
